The CPI for the Manipulation of Games and Sports Betting, underway in the Senate, approved this Tuesday 8 the summoning of the influencer Deolane Bezerra for a deposition.
She was the target of Operation Integration, targeting an alleged money laundering and illegal gambling scheme. Deolane was arrested, but received provisional release.
“I understand that the summons can help this parliamentary commission of inquiry to clarify issues relating to the final objective of this CPI, which is to unveil possible implications of criminal factions with companies operating in the gambling market online“, explained the senator Eduardo Girão (Novo-CE), author of the request.
There is still no set date for the hearing of the influencer. She is accused of creating a betting website to launder money from illegal games, according to the Pernambuco Civil Police. Operation Integration was launched against a gang suspected of moving around 3 billion reais in a gambling money laundering scheme.
