The Pentagon announced this Sunday the 13th the sending of a THAAD high-altitude anti-missile defense system to Israelwhere it will be operated by American military personnel, to help the allied country defend itself from attacks from the Iran.
Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin “authorized the deployment of a high-altitude defense battery and a team of American military personnel to Israel who will help bolster Israel’s air defenses in the wake of Iran’s unprecedented attacks” on April 13 and October 1, Pentagon spokesman General Pat Ryder said in a statement.
