STF decides to extradite Englishman accused of international drug trafficking – Justice – CartaCapital

The First Class of Supremo Tribunal Federal unanimously decided this Tuesday 22nd to extradite the Englishman Allan Grahamaccused of international drug trafficking.

The Federal Police arrested Graham in December 2023 in Balneário Camboriú (SC), after including the accused on the Interpol wanted list.

The vote of the rapporteur, the minister, prevailed in the collegiate Carmen Luciain favor of extradition. According to the decision, the United Kingdom must deduct the time that the Englishman was imprisoned in Brazil and follow other determinations, such as the prohibition of serving more than 30 years of sentence abroad.

Ministers Flávio Dino, Luiz Fux, Cristiano Zanin and Alexandre de Moraes followed the rapporteur.

The procedure for handing over the accused to the United Kingdom authorities will be the responsibility of the Ministry of Justice and Public Security.

Allan Graham’s defense tried to prevent extradition, without success.
