Ricardo Nunes (MDB) was re-elected mayor of the city of São Paulo, this Sunday (27) second round of municipal elections.

With 90.54% of the votes counted, Nunes (MDB) had 59.56% and Boulos (PSOL), 40.44%.

Who is Ricardo Nunes?

Ricardo Nunes is the current mayor of São Paulo, having been elected as deputy to Bruno Covas (PSDB) in 2020. He took over as mayor of São Paulo, after the death of Covas, the following year. He is a businessman and was a councilor between 2013 and 2020. He has the support of the governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), and former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL).
