Just under a month after taking over as CEO of Cosan Investimentos, Ricardo Mussa resigned from his position. The executive also left his seat on the boards of directors of Cosan and Raízen, as reported by the holding company in a statement sent to the Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM) on Friday.
The announcement of the musical chairs that led Mussa to Cosan Investimentos took place on October 22nd. On that occasion, the board of directors approved Marcelo Eduardo Martins as Cosan’s CEO.

The former CEO, Nelson Gomes, in turn, became CEO of Raízen. Mussa, who was CEO of Raízen, moved to the position he resigned from yesterday. The changes took effect on November 1st.
Ricardo Mussa spent 17 years as an executive in the conglomerate controlled by Rubens Ometto. With Mussa’s departure, Raízen’s board elected Rodrigo Araujo, vice-president of finance and investor relations at Cosan, as a replacement advisor until the next general meeting.
