Petrobras confirms plan to invest more than R$635 billion between 2025-29

A Petrobras stated this Monday that the executive board proposed investments by the company between 2025 and 2029 of US$ 111 billion (R$ 637 billion), an amount that would represent an increase of around 9% compared to the previous program, according to fact relevant.

Communication to the market occurred after the newspaper Folha de S.Paulo reveal the values. Petrobras highlighted, however, that the investments decided by the board still need to be approved by the oil company’s board of directors. The board meeting to approve the plan is scheduled for next Thursday (21).

The company highlighted that the Exploration & Production area could receive the majority of the investments, estimated at around US$77 billion, with the exploration area receiving US$7.9 billion. The state-owned company stated that it projects total production of 3.2 million barrels of oil and gas equivalent per day (boed).

Investments in Refining, Transport, Marketing, Petrochemicals and Fertilizers (RTC) were estimated at around US$20 billion.

About the projection of dividends ordinary payments, the company said they will be in a range starting at US$45 billion and flexibility for extraordinary payments of up to US$10 billion during the plan period.
