Natura said this Wednesday that it will resume studies on “strategic alternatives” for Avon outside Latin America, which could include a potential separation, sale or partnerships for the brand.
The resumption of studies, interrupted in August when Avon Products filed for judicial recovery in the United States, is in line with the group’s strategy of “simplifying its corporate structure and providing greater autonomy to its businesses”, said Natura.
Avon Products is a non-operating unit acquired by Natura in 2020 as part of the purchase of Avon.
The group made the statement in a material fact, in which it informs the approval, by a North American court that oversees the judicial recovery process of Avon Products, of the global transaction agreement between the company and the Avon debtors committee and the sale of Avon’s operations outside the US to Natura through a credit offer worth US$125 million.

Approvals are still subject to the formalization of decisions in the files, said the cosmetics manufacturer.
According to the group, although the closing of the sale of certain markets of Avon’s operations outside the US remains subject to regulatory approvals, its results will be reconsolidated in Natura’s financial statements from December 4, 2024.
