“I hope he is well”, he repeated this Tuesday (15) Kamala Harrisquestioning the mental health of Donald Trump after his rival interrupted a campaign event the day before to listen to his favorite songs on stage.
He seemed “lost, confused”, commented the spokesperson for the Democrat’s campaign team, who released a video about what happened.
Trump, 78, responded with a message on his social network, in which he claimed to have obtained “exceptional” results in two different cognitive tests. “I have much better health than Clinton, Bush, Obama, Biden and, above all, Kamala,” said the tycoon.
The strange scene occurred during a public question and answer session with supporters organized by the candidate in the city of Oaks, Pennsylvania, a northeastern swing state, regarding the November 5 presidential election.
The event took place in an apparently poorly air-conditioned room. It had to be interrupted twice due to discomfort from spectators who required medical assistance. Trump asked care teams to dedicate as much time as necessary to care for them.
Then, the septuagenarian joked: “is anyone else going to faint?”, and suggested: “let’s not ask any more questions, let’s listen to music, let’s make music. Who the hell cares about being asked questions, right?”
The Republican asked that his playlist favorite played, starting with “Hail Mary” sung by Luciano Pavarotti.
Trump likes to listen to his favorite music when he travels on his private plane or at his residence in Mar-a-Lago, Florida. However, what was surprising on Monday was that he ended the question and answer session.
Election night thus took an unusual turn for more than thirty minutes, with the former president swaying on his feet, with the microphone in his hand.
One song after another
The public can hear “I will leave with you”by Andrea Bocelli; “Hallelujah”de Rufus Wainwright; “Nothing Compares 2 U”by Sinéad O’Connor; “An American Trilogy”by Elvis Presley; “Rich men north of Richmond”by Oliver Anthony; “November Rain”by Guns N’ Roses; and, of course, the success of Trump’s rallies, “YMCA”de Village People.
The tycoon stated on social media that the night was “unbelievable”.
“The question and answer session was about to end when people started to faint from the excitement and heat. We started listening to music while we waited and didn’t stop. It was very different, but it ended up being a GREAT NIGHT!”
In recent days, Harris, 59, has repeatedly accused her opponent in the race for the White House of being mentally “unstable”.
On Monday night, at a rally in the city of Erie, also in Pennsylvania, he stated that the Republican is “increasingly unstable and unbalanced”.
