A high-ranking leader of the Hamas stated this Friday (18) that the Palestinian Islamist group “cannot be eliminated” with the murder of its commanders, but refused to confirm the death of its leader Yahya Sinwarannounced on Thursday by Israel.
“It seems that Israel thinks that killing our leaders means the end of our movement and the struggle of the Palestinian people,” he told AFP Basem Naim, member of the movement’s political cabinet.
“Hamas is a movement led by people who seek freedom and dignity, and this cannot be eliminated,” he added.
In a statement, he also referred to the former leaders of the Palestinian Islamist movement murdered by Israel and stated that their deaths make “Hamas increasingly stronger and more popular”.
