Embraer signs agreement to expand collaboration with Indonesian aerospace company

Embraer announced, on Sunday night, the signing of a memorandum of understanding with PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI) to expand collaboration in commercial aviation.

The agreement was formalized during the Indonesia-Brazil CEO Forum, within the scope of the G20 in Rio de Janeiro, with the presence of Indonesian authorities.

The partnership includes joint studies to evaluate opportunities in areas such as engineering and supply of aerostructures, according to the Brazilian aircraft manufacturer.

“PTDI has great ambitions for the country,” PTDI CEO Gita Amperiawan said in the statement. The Indonesian Air Force operates a fleet of A-29 Super Tucanos and there is a fleet of Embraer executive jets in operation in the country.

The Vice President of Marketing at Embraer Commercial Aviation, Rodrigo Silva e Souza, highlighted that Indonesia is one of the fastest growing aviation markets globally, and that “areas where both parties can take advantage of their specialties, improve aerospace capabilities” have been identified. of Indonesia and expand its air connectivity.”
