Owner of the social network X, Tesla and SpaceX, the billionaire Elon Musk promised to draw 1 million dollars (around 5.6 million reais at current prices) to anyone who signs an online petition promoted by him to engage voters to Donald Trump.
The draw was announced with a check signed on the spot by the billionaire on the night of Saturday 20th. The idea of the draw is to encourage potential Trump voters to get involved in the campaign.
The petition created by Musk defends freedom of expression and gun rights. So far the billionaire has donated 75 million dollars for the former president’s campaign.
The executive declared himself available for a possible position in the government if Trump wins the elections, and highlighted that the Republican’s values are not “right-wing”, but rather “fundamental values” of the United States.
