Eduardo Pimentel (PSD) was elected mayor of Curitiba (PR) this Sunday (27) after defeating journalist Cristina Graeml (PMB) in the second round of the 2024 municipal elections.

Pimentel had 57.64% of the valid votes against Cristina’s 42.36%.

Who is Eduardo Pimentel

Eduardo Pimentel, 40 years old, is the grandson of the former governor of Paraná, Paulo Pimentel. He has a degree in Administration and a postgraduate degree in Agribusiness from Universidade Positivo.

Supported by the governor of Paraná Ratinho Júnior and the current mayor of Curitiba, Rafael Greca (PSD), Pimentel was vice-mayor of the capital of Paraná for eight years. He was also secretary of cities during Ratinho Júnior’s administration in a project to make him the future mayor of Curitiba.

He will have as vice-president the former federal deputy, Paulo Martins, from PL.
