Can I advertise and distribute ‘saints’ this Sunday (27th), the day of the 2nd round of elections? The second stage of voting will take place in 51 cities across the country, including São Paulo.
Since October 22ndvoters can only be arrested if they are caught red-handed committing a crime. But some conduct on voting day is also subject to arrest. See the main ones below:
Propaganda
It is prohibited to distribute “cards” at the polling station. Voter demonstrations at polling places must be “individual and silent”, says the law.
On election day, they are prohibited rallies and motorcades, exit propaganda and use of loudspeakers and sound amplifiers. And, until the end of voting hours, crowds of people wearing standardized clothing and advertising are not permitted, with or without the use of vehicles.
Reports of irregularities and electoral crimes can be made through the application On boardcreated by the Electoral Court, or sent directly to the Public Ministry.
On voting day, electoral judges and section presidents exercise police powers, being able to take the necessary measures to stop any irregularities and inhibit illegal practices by candidates and voters.

Cell phone when voting
The use of cell phones in the voting booth is prohibited. Before going to the ballot box, the voter must turn off the device and leave it in the location indicated by the poll workers. Cameras, camcorders, radio communications equipment or any instrument that could compromise the secrecy of the vote are also prohibited.
Weapon carrying
In the 48 hours before the election and 24 hours after the election, armed people are prohibited from circulating within 100 meters of polling places.
Carrying weapons is only permitted for members of the security forces on duty and when authorized or summoned by the competent electoral authority. The prohibition also covers those who carry weapons or those who have a state license.
The resolution also prohibits the transport of weapons and ammunition, throughout the national territory, by collectors, shooters and hunters (CAC) on this Sunday of the elections, in the 24 hours before the election and in the 24 hours following. Failure to comply may result in arrest for illegal possession of a weapon.
