The National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) approved financing worth R$1.1 billion for the export of eight E190-E2 and/or E195-E2 commercial jets from Embraer for North American Azorraspecializing in the acquisition and leasing of aircraft for the operation of commercial airlines.
According to a statement from the development bank, the aircraft are already included in Embraer’s order book and will be delivered between December 2024 and 2025 to operators. It is the third financing from BNDES for the export of E2 family aircraft to Azorra, he added.

The financing, according to the bank, will cover a portion of Azorra’s total investment in the purchase of the planes, and will be through BNDES Exim Post-embarkation, with disbursements made in reais in Brazil in favor of Embraer. Azorra will commit to payment in dollars to BNDES, generating currency in this currency for Brazil.
“This year alone, BNDES approved financing for the export of 56 Embraer aircraft to different markets, in the Americas, Europe and Asia,” stated the institution’s president, Aloizio Mercadante, in the statement.
