Brazilian law firms also joined the wave of artificial intelligence (AI)like other sectors of the economy. In an activity where there are repetitive tasks and voluminous processes, automation can save hours of work, with “robot lawyers” organizing data and preparing documents.
O Urbano Vitalino Advogadoswhich has among its clients Itaú, Bradesco e Vivocreated its own AI, called “Carol”, a tool that processed more than 2 million actions, optimizing the work of lawyers. Fernando Castelão, CEO of the firm, remembers, however, that human presence remains fundamental to complex issues, such as mergers and acquisitions and environmental law.

“AI is powerful for high-demand processes, but lawyers’ knowledge and experience are fundamental in operations that require context interpretation and a critical eye,” said Castelão, in conversation with the Talk InvestNewspresented by journalist Dony De Nuccio.
