Argentina recorded the tenth consecutive monthly primary surplus in October, of 746.921 billion Argentine pesos ($753.7 million), Economy Minister Luis Caputo said on social media this Friday, as the government pursues strict measures of austerity to face the economic crisis.

The public sector recorded a financial surplus of 523.398 billion pesos last month.
Libertarian President Javier Milei has made “zero deficit” a fundamental economic policy and promised to veto any bills that threaten fiscal balance. He blames spending by previous governments for contributing to very high inflation.
