Black Friday
The Natura store is an attempt to boost profits with Black Friday, scheduled for November 29th. Both companies are looking to accelerate sales quickly and strongly, said Fernando Yunes, who oversees Mercado Livre’s operations in Brazil.
“It would be excellent for both companies to start 2025 with the business already accelerating,” he added.
Mercado Livre foresees a boost in cosmetics sales due to the partnership, Yunes said. The company increased its perfumery arm by 80% this year. Cosmetics has “surprising” growth and this partnership will accelerate” this, he explained.
Data from Mercado Livre shows that 44% of consumers who buy beauty products return for a second purchase within a short period of time. “MercadoLibre is the right partner and will have longevity,” said Andrade.
In September, the company announced plans to triple its user base and adopt drones to make deliveries.
