Cosan reported this Monday that its board of directors approved the election of Marcelo Eduardo Martins, the company’s current vice-president of Strategy, to the position of CEO.
The current CEO, Nelson Gomes, in turn, will occupy the position of CEO of Raízen, stated the company in a relevant fact to the market. Raízen’s CEO, Marcelo Mussa, will take over Cosan Investimentos and will have a seat on the holding company’s board.
The changes take effect on November 1, 2024.

Raízen announced the election of Rafael Bergman, current CFO of Rumo, as the company’s new financial director, following the resignation of executive Carlos Alberto Bezerra, according to a relevant fact to the market.
In Bergman’s place, Guilherme Lelis Bernardo Machado will take over operations as Rumo’s financial director, the railway operator said in a separate statement.
The changes – which will come into force from November 1st – also include changes to Cosan’s board of directors and Raízen’s senior management, with the election of Nelson Gomes, former CEO of Cosan, as CEO of the company in the sugar and alcohol sector.
