A Equatorialan energy distribution company, works with the Banco J.Safra as an advisor on the sale of wind energy assets, people familiar with the matter said.
The company is considering selling some or all of those assets, said the people, who asked not to be identified because the discussions are not public.
In 2022, Equatorial concluded the acquisition for R$7 billion of Echoenergia Participaçõeswhich holds one of the largest wind energy portfolios in the country. Currently, the company has 12 projects in the Northeast states.
Equatorial said it is always attentive to market opportunities, but does not comment on business possibilities or acquisitions. J. Safra does not comment.
